Top Arts 2019 Presents Fountain Gate Student Kristy Fedoro:

Top Arts 2019 presents diverse and accomplished works of art from students who have completed Art or Studio Arts as part of the Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE). Hosted at The Ian Potter Centre: NGV Australia, the exhibition showcases young artists’ exploration of some of the greatest concerns of contemporary times, and their creative celebration of humanity and the world. Students from throughout metropolitan and regional Victoria included in Top Arts 2018 explored topics including gender identity, community, consumerism and the immersive experience of sporting arenas.

We are very proud to have a student chosen for this very prestigious exhibition and encourage everyone to attend. As Kristy mentions her work has "forever been fueled by the qualities of humans and their nature. I am drawn to finding beauty in any gender and any ethnicity. For my Studio Arts process this year, I focused on creating a pair of portraits; sculpting up characters from my imagination using traits I find appealing and alluring. Primary and saturated colours are a luxury in digital art production. For me, they invoke a playfulness, and a warm reminder to the days of our youth. We live in a world with so much colour, so why not utilise it to our upmost advantage? “
