Recognition of Great Achievement

I’m very happy to announce that Kristy Fedoro's Artwork has been selected for the 2019 Top Arts exhibition at the National Gallery of Victoria. Kristy is a talented former student who completed Year 12 last year and was Fountain Gate Secondary College's first Art Scholarship student. Congratulations.

Below is the amazing artwork that will be displayed in the Gallery.

Rugby Victoria Traineeship

Rugby Victoria and Fountain Gate Secondary College are pleased to announce a new Traineeship Program to be launched in 2019.

The Traineeship program provides a Year 12 school leaver with the opportunity to continue their study whilst stepping in to the workforce as a Participation Officer with Rugby Victoria.

Fountain Gate Secondary College in conjunction with Rugby Victoria and the Melbourne Rebels has delivered a successful Rugby Academy program at the College for the past four years. The Academy program has three tiers:

  • Pre-Academy Year 7 to 8
  • Middle School Academy – Year 9 Smart Rugby and Year 10 students study Cert II in Sport and Recreation
  • Senior Academy - Year 11 & 12 students study a Cert III in Sport and Recreation.

The Traineeship will be a natural extension of the academy program and the successful candidate will study a Cert IV in Sport and Recreation or Sport Development.

Rugby Victoria and Fountain Gate Secondary College are pleased to announce that Ray Murray has been offered the Traineeship in 2019.

Ray is an Australian student of Maori descent with a passion for Rugby and training. He was a student of the Rugby Academy at Fountain Gate Secondary College from 2016 – 2018 attaining a Certificate II and Certificate III in Sport and Recreation during this time. Ray is hard working, passionate and focussed on his goals.

Chris Evans General Manager Rugby Victoria said, “We are delighted to strengthen our partnership with Fountain Gate and provide a Traineeship to Ray Murray."

"Ray has shown a passion for developing the game of Rugby in Victoria. The Rugby Academy program has delivered some incredible outcomes over the past 24 months for Rugby Victoria and Fountain Gate Secondary College."

Director of Rugby at Fountain Gate Secondary College, Jimmy Orange, said, "Fountain Gate Secondary College Rugby Academy are extremely pleased to help offer a pathway forward after completing the Rugby Academy for our students."

"Ray has worked hard and shown a passion for Rugby, training and Sport and Recreation which we believe will set him in good stead for the traineeship in 2019 and onwards."

"We wish Ray all the best with his new opportunity and look forward to more students getting this opportunity in the future."

Asthma, Anaphylaxis, Diabetes and Allergy Action Plans

A reminder to all parents to please provide the College with an updated Asthma, Anaphylaxis, Diabetes or Allergy Action Plan if your child has one. It is vital to notify the College if your child has any allergies.
