Students earn points for their respective houses throughout the year in a variety of different activities.
All students are expected to participate in house events throughout the year. An aggregate of points for House achievement is kept so that we can honour the best House at the end of the year.
The house are named after the local aboriginal tribes in the area:
Bunurong - Red
Mayone - Bulluk - Blue
Kulin - Yellow
Wurundjeri - Green
All new students placed in Houses will remain in that house for their time at Fountain Gate Secondary College. Brothers and sisters will be placed in the same house.
The House Captains play a large part in organising and supporting House members throughout the year.
House Captains - Year 10-12
House Junior Captains - Year 7-9
Each staff member is allocated to a House and share in the students' enthusiasm. Staff support and encourage students in their events. All of our staff have a positive attitude to the House system and have found it to be a rewarding experience for all our students in promoting involvement, achievement and organisation skills.
